Shaw - Lester Eugene

Lester Eugene Shaw, 32, of Crawfordsville, died Saturday evening in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He had been ill for a long time. He was a member of Assembly of God Church here and attended Crawfordsville schools. He was born Nov. 18 1944, at Crawfordsville, a son of James B. and Catherine Endicott Shaw. He was married to Betty Beavers. Surviving are a son, Craig Allen of Louisville; a step- daughter, Vicy Lynn Beavers of Louisville; two brothers, James E. and William T., both of Louisville; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Whitaker of Louisville; two aunts, Mrs. Margaret Collins of rural Ladoga and Mrs. Ruby Hayes of Crawfordsville; and two uncles, William Stewart and John Ruffner, both of Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by his parents. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Powers Funeral Home with the Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
